About Us

In addition to fiddle and violin, Luke plays piano and finger-style guitar on an instrument he and master luthier, Allan Manship, constructed.

Eve loves to perform traditional clog dancing as well as play fiddle, violin, piano, and spoons. She adds yet another dimension to this diverse group.

Josiah keeps the beat on the bass, occasionally adding a surprise trick or two. He also plays the spoons, piano and does enjoy solo work!

Rounding out the group are the parents. Mom (Roween) and Dad (David) provide rhythm guitar back up, hammer dulcimer, and percussion.
Approaching 100 engagements per year, recent performance venues include Branson, MO, Frankenmuth, MI, the Appalachian String Band Festival in Clifftop, WV, the Evart Dulcimer festival main stage, Evart, MI, and several churches, festivals, and jamborees in NY, IN, WI, and KY. The Pannings have also been featured on live radio and television broadcasts.
The musical and life experiences the Pannings have enjoyed together have resulted in a tightly knit family performance group.
